Thank You 2024, Let’s Welcome 2025!
Wow what a year! As 2024 comes to a close, the team at Floor Factory are taking a moment to reflect on a year filled with exciting developments in the flooring world. From innovative product launches to sustainable trends and creative design ideas from our top sellers like Amtico, Woodpecker and Karndean, the year has been a memorable one. Here’s a look back at some of our favourite flooring news articles and projects that made 2024 really special.
However before we launch into our top moments, please note that our showroom will be closing from 20thDecember 2024 to the 2nd January 2025. As always, we will reply to any messages received over the holiday period when we return.
A big trend we have seen unfold further throughout 2024 has been the increased demand for statement flooring. LVT flooring makes it possible to combine different styles and feature bold patterns and designs, ideal for smaller spaces like bathrooms and hallways or as a central feature piece in the room giving a rug-type feel.
Take a look at this stylish hallway design adding a pop of bold blue to a delightful monochrome in the Karndean Heritage range and this second statement checkerboard piece complete with border:
Or what about this statement ensuite and bedroom combo? It perfectly separates the bathroom area from the main room creating a statement with Amitco collections, Amtico Spcia Powdered Oak and Amtico Signature Polygon.
We couldn’t not mention this wild stairway carpet choice which was a Floor Factory favourite back from June… Definitely a statement floor!
2024 marked the start of a special relationship between Amtico and The National Trust which we discussed in the Preserving Heritage: Amtico & The National Trust article back in April. We have loved seeing some of the installations of these beautiful flooring designs like this stunning arrangement that brings a touch of local Kedleston Hall right into the home:
Helping styles live on whilst bringing these classic designs into the modern era.
Climate change has been at the forefront of many of our minds which is why we have also discussed sustainable flooring options from wool to seagrass and how you can make your home more sustainable starting from the ground up in our article ‘Flooring for the Future’.
There were even some tricky installations where the customer didn’t think it would be possible, like installing a border in this unusually shaped room, but our skilled installers showed that anything is possible with Floor Factory!
